If your application is detecting Costello's LAF changes and trying to  
force them back, then the two would continually fight for supremacy.   
More likely is that your LAF stomps on the old LAF to the extent that  
Costello can't recover it, which it doesn't expect.

If you look at abbot.editor.ScriptEditorFrame.java:81, that's where  
the LAF restoring class is installed.  Comment it out and Costello  
won't try to restore its LAF.  There should probably be a property  
check in there to optionally disable the feature.
