Depending on what you are hoping to test, using a format which is
always supported by ImageMagick may prove more useful. Formats which
are always supported include MIFF, GIF, BMP, PCX, SGI, SUN, and the
PNM family (pbm, pgm, and ppm). It seems like JMagick should want to
test its interfaces to ImageMagick rather than ImageMagick itself.
Zlib seems to be quite commonly supported now so it is useful to know
that ImageMagick will deal with .gz compressed files even if the
format does not normally support compression.
